Walleye
Fishing - Lake Erie
(May - July)
 Often
said to be the best Walleye fishing lake in the world, Lake
Erie is only one hour south of Detroit and easily accessible
from several nearby states. Anyone who has fished on the
"MI-HI" has appreciated the bountifull fishing,
which often leads to a "limit" catch of Walleye.
This is our most popular time of the fishing season - so
be sure call Captain Steve as soon possible to hold your
date.
Perch
Fishing - Lake Erie
(August - October)
Throughout Lake Erie, Yellow Perch tend to be found near
or on the lake bottom. Mi-Hi Charters fishes for perch with
live minnows on spreader or perch rigs. Varying the bait
on or near the bottom. Our jigging up and down technique
results in the best catches.
Lake Erie's Yellow Perch limit is 50 per person in Michigan
and 30 per person in Ohio. Plenty of perch for a hearty,
tasty meal that is arguably the best tasting fish in the
lake!
